Day 1 - Arriving in Medan

We arrived in Medan a little late after a great long haul flight and a less great hop over from Singapore. Unfortunately our main backpacks haven't made it to Medan. We think they're in Singapore and might arrive later today.

Travelling around Medan is an experience. Even driving in Essex doesn't prepare you for the driving here.

Alongside the roads are many egrets and rice farmers.

Fingers crossed for the luggage later, otherwise we'll be off to the shops to get kitted out again.
