Day 12 - Thursday - Cookery Class

We started the day with some more tubing after breakfast. This time we walked further up the river to get a couple of longer stretches down the rapids.
After lunch and more ice cream we called in at Yusri's cafe for a two hour cooking course. We took turns to learn how to cook Gado Gado, fried noodles, chicken rendang, satay chicken and an egg and potato fritters. To finish we made pineapple fritters cakes. Enough for at least two meals each ! So we took some back for later.
Much to the entertainment of our neighbours, we were mobbed by macaques at our hotel. They leapt at the bags of food and chased us up to our room. When we dared to go back on the balcony there was a troop of about 40 of them gathered below - fighting, screaming and smashing up the downstairs rooms. Naughty macaques.
