Day 4 - Wednesay

We started the day with a monitoring trip on route 3 where we'd already seen some orangutans.

Today we saw Aran and Suri again in a tall ficus tree. Another orangutan Kuta was asleep in her nest in a nearby tree.

We saw several long tailed macaques and some Thomas leaf monkeys on our walk. Briefly we saw some Hornbill flying over.

It's very hot here in the middle of the day but someone saw Schmolli the alpha male in a nearby tree. So we all sat in the sun watching him, some long tailed macaques and a woodpecker.

We're surviving the bugs. Joanne and I have been bitten a few times by ground leeches. Mark's had a close encounter with jungle ants and we've all been eaten by mosquitos.
